The unity growing within the body of Christ was very evident in the Global Day of Prayer Celebration at Harvest Church in Temple Sunday afternoon, June 12th. At least 15 different churches from across the area were represented among the 145 in attendance, an increase from last year's gathering. Prayers were offered in five different languages. Prayer went up in Chinese, Sinhalese (one of the principle languages of Sri Lanka), Spanish, Hebrew, and, of course, English. Three churches provided praise music. One group sang in Spanish and from another group dancers twirled before the Lord and brought the presence of the Holy Spirit into the gathering. It was a glorious time of fellowship and prayer. May the fire of the Holy Spirit continue to burn in all our hearts! The event closed with Harvest Church Pastor Tom Zintgraff praying a blessing over the gathering.
