Lotz continues. The prayer preparation for that event made “greater
things” possible with GOD!
The
9th annual Mayor’s New Year Prayer Service on January
10 at First Baptist Church in Belton; the 10th
annual Christian Unity Community Prayer Service, January 21
at First Christian Church in
Temple; “The Power of Prayer”
Conference for Women, Friday-Saturday, February 26- 27 at the Temple College
Pavilion all established a strong foundation for continued unity as the Body of
Christ in Central Texas gathered in many locations for the 59th Annual National Day of
Prayer is May 6, 2010. Go to the

annual regional event at the Bell County Expo Center in the assembly hall.
CTPN
Monday night intercessors used Seek God for the City 2010;
Prayers of Biblical Hope, 40 days of
Prayer from Ash Wednesday through Palm Sunday, to give extensive prayer
coverage for our Central Texas communities. The CTPN Monday night
intercessors have used this resource for 5 years. Check it out on the web
site: www.waymakers.org. We believe our prayers in agreement with
hundreds of others are making a difference.
Global Day of Prayer on Pentecost May 23, 2010 will be observed in
Central Texas at Bethel Assembly of God in Temple at 3 pm. Note the link that provides info
and the Ten Days of Prayer guides that are available. Observe it in your church!
Prayer Warriors needed for
Military
PrayFAST
(Pray for a Soldier Team) is a focused initiative of Pray Hood to give every deploying soldier an
opportunity to sign up for a Personal Prayer Warrior who has committed to pray
daily for their Soldier and his/her family. Contact Cecil Wolfe: wolfe@prayfast.org to adopt a
soldier or shellnut@prayfast.org.

School
Prayer Initiative in the Temple ISD observed 5 years in February. Good News Clubs have expanded from Ft. Hood and Killeen
schools to Temple and Belton Two elementary schools in Temple had Good
News Clubs in the first semester. More schools have requested GNC’s in
Temple and Belton. Holland, Troy
and Rogers schools are also interested.
Churches are needed to sponsor the clubs and volunteers to be recruited
and trained to start in the fall. Urgent prayer is needed.
Killeen Citywide Prayer for the Unborn is monthly on the first Monday at Hope Pregnancy
Center located in the Southpointe Center directly south of the Copper Mountain
post office on WS Young Drive in suite 301-C. Contact Pat Galanffy
at 254-681-5823 for information.
Central Texas Prayer Network weekly prayer group meets on Mondays at 7 pm at the same location one
month at a time. We pray for the church or ministry location where we
meet and for other concerns in our Central Texas area.

After
ten years, the
Central Texas Prayer Network continues to operate with the original mission statement: The Central
Texas Prayer Network is a servant ministry encouraging, connecting, equipping,
leaders to mobilize, cooperative, strategic prayer initiatives to reach Central
Texas for Christ.
The first
prayer event was Call to Prayer for Repentance in October 1999 at UMHB. The Lord
has sustained what He ordained when a small group prayed and responded in
obedience to establish an ongoing prayer ministry. May the LORD continue to
find us faithful in persistent, persevering prayer that will reach Central
Texas for Christ. Praise God for all He has done, is doing and will do in 2010.

Greetings to all in Jesus Name! 2009 was a year of ‘greater things’ in the Central Texas Prayer Network. As 2010 begins, the momentum that started with the “Just Give Me Jesus” September Revival for Women with Anne Graham Lotz in September continues to increase. The prayer preparation for that event made “greater things” possible with GOD!
“Turn to God” was the theme of the 9th annual Mayor’s New Year Prayer Service on January 10 at First Baptist Church in Belton. “Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.” This annual service is initiated by the Temple and Belton mayors: Bill Jones and Jim Covington and hosted by the C. A. R. E. Leadership Network of Bell County. C. A. R. E. Leadership Network of Bell County was organized in 1999 and has a great record of fulfilling it’s mission statement: Working together to identify community concerns and needs: to Pray and to Connect resources that will give Hope to Hurting People.
On January 21, 2010 at 7 pm, the 10th annual Christian Unity Community Prayer Service will be observed at First Christian Church in Temple, located at 300 N. 5th Street. Eleven clergy and chaplains will lead that event with the theme: We are “Witnesses of These Things.” Luke 24:48
“Harmonies for Life: A Night of Hope,” second annual Benefit Concert for Hope Pregnancy Centers, Inc. Temple – Killeen – Copperas Cove is Saturday, January 23, 6:30 pm at Memorial Baptist Church, 4001 Trimmier Rd., Killeen. Several inspirational groups and individuals will provide an evening of worship through music. Check web site for details: www.friendsofhopepc.com.
KPLE TV Banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Killeen Civic Center. The theme is: “The Saints Go.” Music by the Central Texas Master Singers and others will make the evening a joyful experience in response to God’s blessings. Prayer Conference for Women, Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27 will inspire Christian women with the theme: “The Power of Prayer.” There will be speakers, workshops and PRAYER. Hood spiritual leaders are beginning to seek God’s plan for observing that day in several locations. Temple and other communities will gather at City Halls and other civic locations. The theme is “For Such a Time as This.” Scripture theme verse: “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble, He cares for those who trust in Him.” Nahum 1:7
