Greetings to all in Jesus' name!
In November 2010, the Belton Ministerial Alliance sponsored a community thanksgiving service at Belton Church of Christ. Two Prayer events in this New Year, 2011, in Temple have revealed the unity of the body of Christ. The theme of the 11th annual Christian Unity Service at Christ Episcopal Church in Temple on January 20 was “One in the Apostles’ Teaching, Fellowship, Breaking of Bread and Prayer.” Acts 2:42. The 10th Annual Mayor’s New Year Community Prayer Service at 8th St. Baptist Church was planned by the C. A. R. E. Leadership network. The Belton and Temple Mayors issued a joint proclamation for January 23 to be a “Day of Prayer” in the two cities. A diverse gathering of the people of God experienced “Abundant Spirit” the theme of the service from John 10:10. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Since the Central Texas Prayer Network was founded in 1999, a constant petition has been for unity in the body of Christ. The 2011 Prayer for Christian Unity claims the answer to Jesus prayer that “they may be one” (John 17). Remembering that He sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for us, we can pray this prayer in agreement with Jesus and one another. Lord Jesus, you continue to pray that your disciples may be one in a unity graced by the unity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We your people long to be one in you. May your prayer for unity open the hearts and minds of all Christians. Guide us, Lord, in your way, that we may be one in the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer, to the glory of your name, one Lord for ever and ever. Amen One of the leaders at the Mayor’s New Year prayer service expressed the need to pray for the church to be the power through prayer that will unite the body of Christ and change the course of our nation. May we grasp the reality that we have been, we are and we will be connected with the Christians in every age and every nation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, fill us with love for one another and may our unity serve the reconciliation that your desire for all creation. We pray in the power of the spirit. Amen

Greetings to all in Jesus' name!
As the Central Texas Prayer Network observes 11 years in October 2010, the LORD is increasing the momentum as the Holy Spirit is stirring the church in Central Texas. Look at what God has done!
Beginning in January with two events: the 10th annual Christian Unity Community Prayer Service with the scripture theme, “We are witnesses of these things,” (Luke 24:48) and the 9th annual Mayor’s New Year Prayer Service theme “Turn to God” sponsored by C. A. R. E. Network, the events and initiatives have been many. As 2009 was a year of ‘greater things’ in Central Texas, 2010 is surpassing all we could think or imagine.
In February a Women’s Prayer Conference, “The Power of Prayer,” was attended by over 200 women at the Temple College Pavilion, who were motivated to be a prayer force in their homes, workplace and community. The response was magnificent, so the planning team has a second event set for September 17 and 18, “Harvest Time Prayer Conference.” The Women of Prayer Ministries is added to the ‘greater things’ God is doing!
Child Evangelism Fellowship of Central Texas, that launched Good News Clubs in two Temple elementary schools in 2009, is expanding from Temple to Belton, Holland, Little River, Academy, Salado, Rogers, and Killeen/Fort Hood. CEF After School Good News Clubs will meet in as many as 12 area elementary schools this fall. Each club is operated by CEF trained volunteers from local churches. Local churches provide the volunteer teams to operate the Good News Club on each elementary campus. Volunteer training is ongoing as needed. If you or your church are interested in knowing more about this exciting children's ministry contact me and I will get you in touch with the CEF of Central Texas folks. The School Prayer initiative in the TISD schools, that began 5 years ago in February, laid the foundation for this ministry. WOW! Look what power there is in prayer!
The CTPN Monday night intercessors have participated in prayer initiatives for five years using Seek God for the City to give extensive prayer coverage for our Central Texas communities from Lent to Palm Sunday. Using the Ten Days of Global Prayer from Ascension to Pentecost a community service at Bethel Assembly of God brought God’s people together with millions around the world. Ninety Days of Blessing prayers have brought us to Nationwide Pre-Election Prayer and Fasting. The evidence of praying for revival and unity in the body of Christ is evident!
There are multiple efforts to organize nationwide prayer between now and the critical U. S. elections. The National Prayer Committee will gather thousands of believers in Kansas City, MO, August 26-30, for an historic 66-hour prayer vigil, Prayer Watch 2010. Dozens of respected prayer leaders will unite in one place to teach on aspects of prayer and Solemn Assembly, and lead the group in extraordinary, focused prayer. The International House of Prayer and God TV will webcast the vigil to potentially millions more, world wide. Other efforts include: Cry Out America, Dr. Charles Stanley’s 140 days of prayer, the National Religious Broadcasters 40 days of prayer starting September 1, and TheCallSacramento, September 3-5, probably the largest on-site prayer meeting that will cover the national elections. A National Pray and Act Service will be webcast across America from Washington, DC on Sunday evening, September 19 at 8 pm EDT, 7 pm CDT, 6 pm MDT, 5 pm PDT.
2 Chronicles 7:14 is our Call to Pray daily, not just at events. It must be a discipline. The 2010 National Day of Prayer theme, Prayer, For Such a Time as This, is so relevant at this time in our history. Let us claim the promise as we humble ourselves and pray that our land will be healed. Get involved in one of the many prayer initiatives this fall!

(Pray for a Soldier Team) is a focused initiative of Pray Hood to give every deploying soldier an
opportunity to sign up for a Personal Prayer Warrior who has committed to pray

Prayer Initiative in the Temple ISD observed 5 years in February. Good News Clubs have expanded from Ft. Hood and Killeen
schools to Temple and Belton Two elementary schools in Temple had Good
News Clubs in the first semester. More schools have requested GNC’s in
Temple and Belton. Holland, Troy
and Rogers schools are also interested.
Churches are needed to sponsor the clubs and volunteers to be recruited
and trained to start in the fall. Urgent prayer is needed.
Killeen Citywide Prayer for the Unborn is monthly on the first Monday at Hope Pregnancy
Center located in the Southpointe Center directly south of the Copper Mountain
post office on WS Young Drive in suite 301-C. Contact Pat Galanffy

Central Texas Prayer Network weekly prayer group meets on Mondays at 7 pm at the same location one
month at a time. We pray for the church or ministry location where we

Central Texas Prayer Network continues to operate with the original mission statement: The Central
Texas Prayer Network is a servant ministry encouraging, connecting, equipping,
leaders to mobilize, cooperative, strategic prayer initiatives to reach Central
Texas for Christ.
The first
prayer event was Call to Prayer for Repentance in October 1999 at UMHB. The Lord
has sustained what He ordained when a small group prayed and responded in
obedience to establish an ongoing prayer ministry. May the LORD continue to
find us faithful in persistent, persevering prayer that will reach Central
Texas for Christ. Praise God for all He has done, is doing and will do in 2010.

Greetings to all in Jesus Name! 2009 was a year of ‘greater things’ in the Central Texas Prayer Network. As 2010 begins, the momentum that started with the “Just Give Me Jesus” September Revival for Women with Anne Graham Lotz in September continues to increase. The prayer preparation for that event made “greater things” possible with GOD!
“Turn to God” was the theme of the 9th annual Mayor’s New Year Prayer Service on January 10 at First Baptist Church in Belton. “Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.” This annual service is initiated by the Temple and Belton mayors: Bill Jones and Jim Covington and hosted by the C. A. R. E. Leadership Network of Bell County. C. A. R. E. Leadership Network of Bell County was organized in 1999 and has a great record of fulfilling it’s mission statement: Working together to identify community concerns and needs: to Pray and to Connect resources that will give Hope to Hurting People.
On January 21, 2010 at 7 pm, the 10th annual Christian Unity Community Prayer Service will be observed at First Christian Church in Temple, located at 300 N. 5th Street. Eleven clergy and chaplains will lead that event with the theme: We are “Witnesses of These Things.” Luke 24:48
“Harmonies for Life: A Night of Hope,” second annual Benefit Concert for Hope Pregnancy Centers, Inc. Temple – Killeen – Copperas Cove is Saturday, January 23, 6:30 pm at Memorial Baptist Church, 4001 Trimmier Rd., Killeen. Several inspirational groups and individuals will provide an evening of worship through music. Check web site for details: www.friendsofhopepc.com.
KPLE TV Banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Killeen Civic Center. The theme is: “The Saints Go.” Music by the Central Texas Master Singers and others will make the evening a joyful experience in response to God’s blessings. The 59th Annual National Day of Prayer is May 6, 2010. The NDP Expo Event Task Force is praying and planning for the 7th annual event. Killeen-Ft. Hood spiritual leaders are beginning to seek God’s plan for observing that day in several locations. Temple and other communities will gather at City Halls and other civic locations.
